Snowy screen, hissing sound Snowy picture, sound okay Flashing picture Lines running through picture Ghosting pictures Rolling bars through picture For these problems, please check your television set. Screen dark, no sound Screen dark, sound okay Picture out of focus Images distorted or out of shape Channels out of sequence Before calling Lakleland Communications, please make sure your TV, VCR, and/or converter are plugged into a working electrical outlet and channel selectors are in proper positions. If you have a cable ready TV set or are using a VCR to switch channels, please remember to reprogram them when your residence experiences a loss of electrical power. If you are receiving only channels 2 through 13 this problem can be corrected by one of two options depending on brand or age of TV or VCR. On some models you will find a switch on the VCR or TV that will change mode from antenna/air to cable. On most newer TV and VCRs all programming is done with on screen menus. You will need to change mode from air to cable then auto program TV or VCR to receive the channels offered in your area. NOTE: Please disconnect power and cable during lightning storms. We will not be responsible for losses. We are not authorized to repair television sets, only cable related problems. There may be a service charge for noncable related service calls. How do I auto-program my channels? Please follow the steps below to auto program the television tuner: Power on the television. On the remote control, press the MENU button. NOTE: Depending on model, Auto Program will appear on the initial setup screen, or there will be a Setup button on the front of the television. Follow the instructions that are provided on the television screen. Use the remote control to highlight and select SETUP. Use the remote control to highlight and select CHANNEL SETUP. Use the remote control to highlight and select CABLE. OFF or ON (depending on which is displayed) will change color. Use the remote control to highlight and select OFF, if an antenna is being used, or to ON if cable TV is being used. Use the remote control to highlight and select AUTO-PROGRAM. The television will program all cable channels that can be received. NOTES: If a Cable Box is going to be used for channel selection, programming the tuner is not necessary. Older Sony televisions have a cable/antenna button on the remote control that will change the tuner from antenna to cable. Manually press the channel number to add or erase and then press the Plus (+) or Minus (-) Button to add or delete a channel. The original remote that came with the television may be needed to Auto Program some televisions. Television menu and remote controls differ slightly from model to model. ![]() |
