Wintertime fun for all ages! The annual Candlelight Night, which includes cross country skiing, hiking and snowshoeing, returns Feb. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening’s activities include Minnesota’s largest prairie bonfire–lit at 5:45 p.m.–, six miles of candle-lit trails, treats and hot drinks, raffle prizes for new skis and boots and live music. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available through Wild River Ski Rental–call Wade at 651-257-0685 for more information. Please note that a Minnesota State Park Vehicle Permit is needed to enter the park. Skiers 16 and older also need a Minnesota Ski Pass for ski trails in state parks, forests, state or grant-in-aid trials. Passes are available at the park office, $6 for a day pass, or $20 for the season.
